About us:
African Student Fellowship is student run Christian based club that aims to connect students with their Christian faith and African culture through praise, worship and prayer. However, anyone from any cultural background is welcome to join us in fellowship. We want provide a safe space for students to come and engage with their Christian faith community. African Student Fellowship prioritizes community as we focus on walking in the footsteps of Christ.
Western ISA aims to promote community building amongst Western students of the Shia Ismaili Muslim faith. We value hard work, integrity, and fun while aspiring towards academic, social, cultural, and physical well-being. We foster a welcoming and inviting environment amongst Ismailis and non-Ismailis alike at Western and in the greater London community.
About Us:
OHM Fashion Show is an organization led by the students of the University of Western Ontario. Throughout the year all members create, participate in, and run fundraising events for the London Community as well as work with local clothing companies to put on an amazing fashion and dance show at the end of the year. All proceeds raised are donated to the Canadian Cancer Society.

UWO Pre-Optometry Club 2022-2023:
Mission Statement:
I. To increase awareness, appreciation, and interest in the optometry profession.
II. To create an inclusive atmosphere where students feel comfortable to ask questions and receive support.
III. To provide members with opportunities to volunteer within their community.
IV. To share knowledge on the application process and academic requirements for optometry schools across North America.
Available Positions and Responsibilities:
1st Year Representative – Positions available:
1 1. Promote UWO Pre-Optometry Club events to first years, especially through first year class pages
2. Assist executive team with internal affairs, if necessary
3. Attend all executive meetings to take minutes of our monthly meetings
Finance Coordinator – Positions available:
1 1. Cooperate with VP Finance to oversee all financial dealings of the club
2. Organize a yearly budget according to USC finance regulations
3. Work closely with events team to plan club programs, activities and events within the allocated budget
4. Promote upcoming events
Events Coordinator – Positions available:
1 1. Assist the VP Events with venue-booking
2. Coordinate with executive team to develop proposals for upcoming events
3. Establish and maintain a professional and positive relationship with local volunteer organizations
4. Promote upcoming events
Communications Coordinator – Positions available:
1 1. Assist with recruitment of previous and new members of the club at-large
2. Update UWO Pre-Optometry’s website and various social media outlets (Facebook, Instagram) to engage members in upcoming events
3. Attend general meetings and all executive meetings, and contribute to group discussions
4. Promote upcoming events
Graphics Designer – Positions available:
1 1. Assist the VP Communications and VP Events to design Facebook banners, posters, and graphics for upcoming events
2. Designs must be aesthetically pleasing and eye-catching with the relevant information provided by the Events committee
3. Attend general meetings and all executive meetings, and contribute to group discussions

Academic Coordinator – Positions available:
1 1. Become a mentor for students interested in optometry
2. Be well aware and knowledgeable about the optometry school application process
3. Assist students interested in optometry with personal questions regarding the field

The objective of the Western Ski & Snowboard Club is to provide exciting and unique opportunities for students to enjoy the sport of skiing and snowboarding through community building. We focus on organizing trips throughout the school year to various resorts and locations, including students of all experience levels and backgrounds. Our primary vision is to create a sense of connection amongst members and to impart students with memories of skiing and snowboarding in their university experience. Western Ski & Snowboard Club will host various social events throughout the school year and ski trips during the winter season that are tailored to all interested students, regardless of skill level. Our mission for the Western Ski & Snowboard Club is to bring students together and bond over something we all call home. We want our members to feel welcomed and to create lasting friendships with those who share the same love of skiing and snowboarding. The Western Ski & Snowboard Club gives the opportunity for every undergraduate student a chance to enjoy the winters sports they love.

The Western University Vegan Society is an inclusive community working towards a peaceful world, free from violence and discrimination towards all animals – human and non. We promote the abolition of animal exploitation through creative, nonviolent vegan education. The essence of veganism is nonviolence and respect for others. Nonhuman animals are sentient beings who value their lives and have interests similar to ours. They shouldn’t be the property (things) of another. Therefore, vegans do not eat, wear or exploit animals for any purposes. WUVS seeks to empower others to becomes agents of positive social change and encourage them to live in accordance with their values. We can all agree that inflicting unnecessary suffering and death on animals is wrong, yet most of us still participate in this unnecessary harm by using animals. We welcome anyone interested in engaging in open-minded, positive and inclusive dialogue about the ethical, environmental, health, and other social justice issues associated with our use of nonhuman animals. Throughout the year we will be hosting a variety of educational and social events. These will include presentations by acclaimed activists and authors, workshops, film screenings, potlucks, dinner outings, sanctuary visits, and vegan outreach initiatives. We offer a supportive environment where everyone is welcome, especially those who are curious about veganism. We hope you will join us in building a more just, peaceful and nonviolent world.

The Arab Students’ Association (ASA) offers various opportunities to connect with students throughout the Western, and greater London community. The ASA is a place to learn about Arab countries, its’ diverse people, and cultures. Members enjoy many events that are hosted throughout the school year. Through events such as barbecues, game nights, and social gala’s to name a few, the ASA allows like minded individuals to get together and have an amazing time, all while embracing their own Arab background, and learning more about others. The Arab nations have some of the most unique places, and diverse people in the world, making our club full of exciting new events and social opportunities all throughout the year. Western Campus Recreation offers a unique opportunity for the Western student community through the provision of Recreation Sport Clubs. Recreation Sport Clubs allows students to organize and manage their own Clubs to further their recreational experience in sports and physical activity in which they feel passionate about.
