The Breast Cancer Awareness Association is a club dedicated to raising awareness and supporting organizations that help individuals suffering from breast cancer. We’re not only raising awareness but also fostering a culture of empowerment, resilience, and hope in the face of this challenging disease. Theatre Western is a vibrant and passionate community dedicated to the captivating world of the performing arts. Within our club, you will find a diverse ensemble of creative individuals who share a love for the stage and the theatrical discipline more broadly. Founded in 1982, Theatre Western has long been a space where creativity, collaboration, and community thrive. Through rehearsals, performances, and shared experiences, we celebrate the many forms that storytelling can take, and we aim to create an environment where artists feel both driven and supported. Our programming includes a variety of large-and-small-scale initiatives, from mentorship opportunities, socials, and professional development workshops, to major productions. Key events to keep on your radar include our Fall Musical, Fall Play, Project Sparkles, Purple Short Play Festival, and Spring Musical. The Balkan Club strives to bring together people from land regions in Eastern Europe that are grouped together and known as the “Balkans”. Historically, these regions include the following 13 countries – Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, and Turkey. The objective of the club is to provide a sense of belonging and familiarity to the Balkan Community at Western University, where students can meet, express themselves freely, and interact with others of similar interests and backgrounds, creating a home away from home for those of Balkan descent.
