WaterAid Western is a club dedicated to cultivating a community of passionate students who care about sustainable solutions for water, sanitation, and hygiene issues. Our purpose is to engage students in discussion and activities related to clean water and sanitation issues, while raising awareness and funds on behalf of the organization WaterAid. WaterAid is a global non-profit organization that aims to make clean water, as well as toilets and hygiene sources, available to everyone through the implementation of sustainable solutions. The organization focuses on awareness and education of the public as a whole, including the community that requires water access, in order to improve accessibility. Student Energy is a global not-for-profit organization aimed at empowering the next generation of leaders, who are accelerating the transition toward a sustainable & equitable energy future. We are a part of the chapter’s program which are entirely student-led hubs that take action on energy in their local communities and participate in events, advocacy, and projects related to energy, sustainability and climate action. We host events to educate ourselves and our members on energy and sustainability-related topics, and work with communities & organizations to transition to a more sustainable energy future!
