We’re focused on the kind that never escapes you: what you listen to on your phone, in your car, in the club, in TV ads, and the like. The Spider Music Collective is the one and only community at UWO that provides the opportunities to learn how to digitally produce music with educational workshops, network through our social events, and receive exclusive guidance from real leaders in the modern music industry. Better yet, we firmly stand by the notion that NOBODY needs ANY music background at all to benefit from our collective. Spider’s educational curriculum is refined to be inclusive to the variety of creative minds populating our campus, not exclusive to those with advanced technical skills. Charity Chords brings together two things we love on campus: music and charity! We hold coffee houses, open mic nights and music speaker series with all proceeds going to charity, combating important issues such as sustainability and sexual violence. If you play any instrument, and are looking for a community to share your love of music, Charity Chords is for you!We have members from all faculties, instruments including guitar, piano and vocals, and skill levels.

Discover your voice with Western A Capella! We consist of two competitive groups: Repercussions, an all upper voices group, and Equivox, an all voices group. We compete in national competitions, with Equivox recently placing 3rd at the 2024 International Competition of Collegiate Acapella (ICCA) Quarterfinals!

The choir meets once a week for on-campus rehearsals and hosts two off-campus concerts: one in winter and one in spring. UWO Choir also offers exciting events throughout the school year as well as a few leadership opportunities on the executive team!
